HEC helps employees identify their negative stress and take action to make positive changes in their lives. Through education, experiential techniques and programs such as Massage, Meditation, Aromatherapy, Humor, Stress Management and Seasonal Selections, HEC helps empower employees to take control of their life.

In daily life, we often use the term “stress” to describe negative situations, but not all stress is bad for you. Eustress is positive stress that helps motivate and improve performance. Distress is negative stress that causes anxiety, mental and physical problems. HEC distinguishes between the two and allows people to look at a problem causing them stress through a different lens.

Negative Effects of Distress:

  • Poor decision making
  • Increase in mistakes
